I have a rather complex procedure I have to go through to get to IRC at work. I described it to an IRC friend this way: Telnet through the firewall to my local Internet server... log in to my local shell account... telnet from there to my ISP... log in to my ISP shell account... run their IRC software... connect to an irc server... join the channel... ...nothing but 'Net!
