Colorado - Monarch PassColorado - Monarch Pass
Leaving the Black Canyon, we headed up to Rocky Mountain via Monarch Pass.
For much of this drive the weather was rainy, and clouds limited the
photography. Too bad, our route took us past many of Colorado's "Fourteeners,"
the mountains over 14,000 feet. Clouds have their photographic moments,
however.
At the top of Monarch Pass, you can take a cable car up to a viewpoint above
the 12,000 foot level.
