My cousin works in one of the major music stores in midtown Manhattan. He told this story that actually happened. Itzhak Perlman, world renowned violinist, is a frequent customer and is generally well known by store employees. During a visit he asked if he could use the restroom. There is no rest room for customers on the showroom floor. A relatively new employee who had been helping Perlman was asked to escort him in the back elevator to the rest room on the 3rd floor. The employee says to Perlman, "You're a pretty good fiddler. Do you play with anyone special?" Without missing a beat, Perlman replies: "If someone calls me, I play."
