I read in the newspaper the other day that a Polish developer wants to build a restaurant and shopping mall across the street from Auschwitz, to cater to the tourists who visit the sight. Imagine the possibilities for souvenirs: "My mother (father/sister/brother/grandparent) went to Auschwitz and all I got was this lousy T-shirt!"
