One of those "Safety Hints" posters so beloved of management recently appeared near my office with a new message: "Avoid Repetitive Stress Injuries!" Looking at it, I suddenly realized the perfect punishment for IBM, Apple, and all the other companies being sued by victims of carpal tunnel syndrome. They should obviously make the CEOs go up to the front of the courtroom and write, "I will not cause Repetitive Stress Injuries" on the blackboard one thousand times.
