This is original. I wrote it with a bit of help from Jonathan Nicholson (buster@iia.org). The Top 10 reasons to buy a bigger, better PC ============================================= 10) 'Pentium' looks so much better on the case than all those numbers. 9) You've been meaning to buy a fan for the office anyway. 8) You need space to get DOS and Windows on the Hard Drive AT THE SAME TIME. 7) During a large compile, it's not so much a case of grabbing a coffee as writing a novel. 6) The memory check needs to be long enough for you to get a coffee. 5) Where else are you going to put all those 'educational' GIFs? 4) Just once it would be nice to win one of those 'Well, my machine...' type arguments. 3) Why buy audio CDs when you can sample them from a friend? 2) Who else is going to archive alt.music.vomiting-girafes? And the all time number 1 reason to buy a bigger, better PC is ... 1) Doom just doesn't seem to be able to keep up with your frantic keyboard bashing any more.
