One of our local radio stations (New Jersey 101.5) apparently asked people to call in to suggest advertising slogans for New Jersey. There were some doozies (sorry I didn't catch all of them), but two of my personal favorites were: "New Jersey: We've got the best politicians money can buy" "They should call New Jersey the Vampire State because it really sucks." (I'm a New Yorker by birth and breeding, so I'm allowed to be rude about New Jersey!) [Note: New York is the "Empire State." And Editor is from New Jersey and is allowed to accept New Jersey jokes. So there.]
