Ben Jonson, the Elizabethian poet/playwrite second only to Shakespeare, was known for his propencity for drink. One night at a party, nature called, and he relieved his bladder pressure in the garden. However, he was fairly smashed, and was unsuccessful in attempting to tuck himself back into his trousers before returning to the party. A very proper lady noticed this and exclaimed indignantly, "Mr. Jonson, your member is sticking out." Looking down, Jonson replied, "Don't flatter yourself madam-- It's hanging out." ^^^^^^^
