We recently had a patient who, due to respiratory difficulties, needed an endotracheal tube placed. These tubes range in size from 2-9mm, and are used according to a person's trachea size. Normal adults take about a 7-7.5mm tube. Our recent patient took an 8.5mm tube, which made my partner wonder if possibly the guy had a similarly-equipped daughter. Could be a great date...
