A few weeks ago, Pete McMartin , a columnist for the Vancouver Sun , wrote that the province of British Columbia should change its name because B.C. is no longer very British. One of his readers wrote back saying he would gladly cut the British off of British Columbia if Pete McMartin would volunteer to cut his 'Peter' off.
