I spent last week at Uniforum, which this year consisted of many large and professional looking booths, all of which contained loud announcements of yet another standard (invariably using the word "open,") joint project, or consortium.

I expect that when I arrive at Uniforum '92, I'll walk in and it will consist of one enormous booth.
