Colorado is currently in the third year of a fairly severe drought. Reservoirs are getting close to empty, farms are being sold, and lawns are turning brown due to watering restrictions. Yet this last week, we had rain on five consecutive days in Denver. Storm drains were overwhelmed, and one of the local highways, I-25, was closed for three hours due to flooding.
This also happened to be the week that contractors were supposed to begin painting the exterior of my condominium.
