Fleet Bank in Boston is currently (December 2002) running a marketing campaign for the United Way on their ATMs. It features the slogan, "Put Yourself In The Way," to inspire you to contribute to the United Way.

While you're waiting for your ATM transaction to complete, the screen displays a marketing photo of a disabled athlete, muscular and smiling in his wheelchair. Nice and wholesome.

Well, almost. Beneath that wheelchair-bound man is the caption, "He put himself in the way."

(Ouch!)
