As Burning Man refuses to be pigeonholed, no collection of photographs about BM could be complete without a section of the unclassified.

(1280 x 854 - 60K)
Here's the view the other way, from the fence at the edge of the city. You see one lone figure walking on the desert.

(1280 x 854 - 122K)
Here's John Gilmore, Annie Harris during a bike tour we did of the city. We're next to our neighbours the Tuna Guys, who spent the week before BM catching Tuna which they grilled and handed out all week.

(1280 x 854 - 124K)
A roving group of squirtgun armed marauders stop by our camp to attack our neighbours (who had a barter bar and bowling alley). They fight back with their own squirtguns.

(1280 x 854 - 113K)
Our camp, early in the morning. My 15 foot long picture of the 1998 Black Rock City is on display on a curved board I built for it.

(1280 x 854 - 85K)
The lamplighters walk the city streets at twilight to put up lamps on all the posts. As you can see they have uniforms and a ceremony and have a good time.

(1280 x 854 - 138K)
This is a tower view of our camp and the Oregon Country Fair camp we were next to, late on Sunday. A lot of the city has already been dismantled.

(1280 x 854 - 116K)
One day I biked passed Elvis Yoga camp to see this, and I had to photograph it.

(1280 x 854 - 142K)
The message board one night. Message were piled many levels deep.

(1280 x 854 - 59K)
The man and city at twilight, or just a small part of the City. I wanted to capture just how lit up the city is, even though of course it is off the power grid.
