Anyone remenber the so called 'Falklans Crisis'? For my sins I was there. The lads in the British Marine Corps I was with took to calling the local farmers 'Bennys', after an intellectually challenged character from the dire T.V. soap 'Crossroads'.

We got a message from HQ to stop this practice immediately as it challenged our PR with the natives. A while later I heard the locals were being refered instead as 'Stills'. "What the f*** are Stills?" I asked my oppo. "Still Bennys," he said.
