Just found in the Instruction Manual for my Indy Workstation: Chapter 9, "Safety, Maintenance, and Regulatory Information," Section "Hardware Do's and Don'ts":

  To keep your workstation in good running order, follow these 
  guidelines: 

    Do not:

	* dangle the mouse by its cable, or throw the mouse at co-workers.
