In the San Jose Mercury News (2/5/97), it was reported that a young boy was murdered in Costa Rica for the money in his pocket (about $4). Despite the tragic nature of the story, the following paragraph killed me: "Police first assumed the child had drowned, but an autopsy found he had been beaten, drowned, and robbed of a ($4 note) he had been carrying." I've always marvelled at how accurate an autopsy can be, but that's amazing....
