On Thursday, NASA "wrote-off" all of the life science experiments except one in the now sealed Spektr section of Mir. A single experiment involving a cat (now nicknamed "Schrodinger") has not been given up upon. NASA officials insist that they are not sure whether the cat is dead or alive, and are reluctant to opening the hatch to check.
