While reviewing our department's new victims rights policies, I noticed an interesting tidbit from the state law in Georgia.... When a person is a victim of certain crimes, they are entitled to be notified when a defendant/perpetrator is 1) arrested, 2) released from jail, and/or 3) goes to trial. A list of the offenses is included.... What is the first crime listed for victim's notification? Homicide.
