Heard on the WNBC-TV (NY) news cast last night. (As Dave Barry might say, I am not making this up.) A local health and fitness club has taken note at the huge number of no-shows to the NY Jets and Giants home games, of late. They have asked ticketholders, rather than to simply not show up, to please donate their tickets to the club who will then take underprivileged children to the football games. A gentleman from Connecticut called the club and asked if they had insurance. The answer: "Yes, but why?" "Well, I'm going to give you my Jet tickets. And you're going to take some children to the game. I just want to make sure I don't get arrested for child abuse."
