On National Public Radio, the morning of April 10, 1997, NPR had a snippet about Democrats complaining about the lack of activity in Congress this term. California Democratic senator Barbara Boxer was commenting on how this session of Congress was a "do-little Congress, a do-nothing Congress," and how it needed to be a "do-something Congress." In response, NPR turned to California Republican representative, John T. Doolittle.
