The other day a friend put some of his lecture notes in my pigeon-hole, fastened with a paperclip. I had no idea why---I don't even do the same subject as him---and I couldn't make head nor tail of them. So I absentmindedly put them to one side and thought to myself, "How strange!" Today I got a second note: "Dear Lucian. Hope you liked the paperclip. Could I have my notes back, please?"
