The earthquake stopped a baseball game in downtown Seattle's Kingdome, where the hometown Mariners were losing to the Cleveland Indians 6-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning. ... Seattle Seahawks owner Ken Behring cited the potential earthquake hazard as justification to break his 10-year Kingdome lease and move the football team to California.
