This story happened to me some weeks ago ...
... and it started with my brother Martin. He told me about something
he had heard, that there is a sentence in Czech which doesn't contain
any vowels at all (and not much sense either). `Stick your finger
through your throat' is what it means in English, but my brother just
couldn't remember the actual words.
So I asked my Czech friend whether this was really true. He said that
yes, it was true, and he could write the sentence down for me:
\/
Strc prst skrz krk.
`How is that pronounced?' I asked.
`Exactly as it is written.'
Of course. As it is written.
How in the world could I ask such a silly question?
