Sun Microsystem's Java Web page contains the following description: "Java(tm) is a simple, object-oriented, distributed, interpreted, robust, secure, architecture-neutral, portable, high-performance, multithreaded, dynamic, buzzword-compliant, general-purpose programming language." It's also a user-friendly, goal-oriented, democratic, misinterpreted, macho, safe, gender-neutral, light-weight, high-octane, multifacetted, moving-target, jargon-laced, one-size-fits-all programming language. .... and what does "buzzword-compliant" mean anyway?
