The third member of our family is a handsome Congo African Grey Parrot named Biko. While most of what he says is just sound play a lot of it is appropriate. About a year ago Biko cut his foot somehow and we took him to the veterinarian. He put on a white bandage and told us to watch Biko for two days to keep him from picking on it. We sat up with him for two days using every kind of distraction and game to keep him from picking at his foot. This did the trick he was fine. Recently I had hernia surgery and came home with a large white bandage on my lower abdomen. When Biko saw this he cried out "Don't pick at it. Don't pick at it."
