After the agonizing, horrible Detroit Red Wing's loss to the New Jersey Devils in the Stanley Cup playoffs, Wing's goaltender Mike Vernon was so distraught that he attempted suicide. He threw himself onto the highway in front of a truck. Unfortunately, it went right between his legs.
