Nixon's Day of Mourning

There was a brief discussion in a couple of newsgroups about the injustice
of giving civil servants a day off at taxpayer expense. Mostly from people
who are government contractors, for whom Wednesday was business as usual.

The solution proposed was to take the day off recording it on your
timecard as 8 hours of personal leave.  Then have your secretary erase it.
