From Computerworld: Sources at Apple say astronomer Carl Sagan was so upset that Apple engineers had hused his moniker as the code name for a 66-Mhz PowerPC in development that he called up the Cupertino, Calif., company and gave them an earful. Ever the gentelmen (and women), the techies backed down. The new name of the project, BHA, stands for Butt-Head Astronomer. Sagan, as well as code names Cold Fusion and PDM, were orignally chosen by Apple engineers, who consider them the three biggest hoaxes of all time (PDM stands for Piltdown Man, trumpeted as the oldest human remains when found), according to an engineer who recently left Apple.
