In the latest peace dividend industrial casualty, Hughes Aircraft has
decided to move their Missile Systems Engineering operation to Tucson
AZ from Los Angeles' relatively hospitable West Valley, a move
generally unpopular with the otherwise congenial employees. Since
the annonuncement at the beginning of April, the Image Processing Lab
where I work has seen its staff of (originally) 65 dwindle at a rate of
just over 1 per week. The following sign has been posted outside of
the labs and printer rooms:
LAST ONE OUT HAS TO DOCUMENT IT!
If this doesn't increase the defection rate, nothing will...
