My wife moved to New Jersey when we got married, 31 years after being born and raised in The Bronx, NY. She took a long time adjusting to not being a New Yorker, and for several years, I never missed an opportunity to remind her of it. On a trip north, we drove through Albany, New York. "This used to be your state capital," I said. Thinking she had somehow missed a major news event, she replied in astonishment, "They changed it!?"
