How can Congress know the will of the people regarding tax increases and spending cuts? Here's my proposal: Every Representative and Senator will appear before the constituency at several places in his|her district|state and present the tax increases and/or spending cuts [s]he supports. Then [s]he will stand on a box, put a noose around his|her neck, and let the people vote with their feet.
