Heard this one from a friend. German chancellor Kohl walks through the streets of Bonn with his party general secretary, Hinze. He complains: "It is terrible. People always say that inflation has been running away during my government, but look at this shop: One pair of trousers, 50 DM; a good jacket, 60 DM. This is not too bad at all!" Hinze tells him "Aeh, Sorry, Mr Chancellor, this is a laundry!"
