(This is a real situation; the strangeness of it just struck me today.) The Engineering School here at Princeton has a newly-built parking structure. The elevator in the parking structure has Braille as well as standard print for all of the floor numbers, and, in addition to the usual lights, a loud bell goes off every time it passes a floor. Upon reflection I am forced to conclude that this is intended for the convenience of any blind people going out to their cars to drive home.
