Michael Jackson, famed singer and dancer, is now suing Levi's for breach of contract. Jackson was signed on to do a musical commercial to help sell Levi's 501 Jeans using his latest hit, "Black And White". The commercial was intended to boost the sales of black 501's and to introduce a new white model of the jeans. A contract was drawn up and signed by both parties two days before the music video for the song appeared on televisions around the world. In a press statement released from Levi's to explain why the contract was cancelled, Levi's referred to Michael Jackson with the phrase, "He couldn't keep his fly buttoned." Legal experts now expect that Jackson's representatives will now start a second lawsuit against Levi's for libel and defamation of character. -- 100% Original by gberigan@cse.unl.edu (Greg Berigan)
