TIBERIAS, Israel (JPFS) -- Hotel reception clerks and guests alike were astounded to see a couple walk into the lobby of the Caesar Hotel here with a camel, for whom they demanded a room. According to the woman, who spoke with a heavy Russian accent, the couple had reserved a suite for herself, her husband and the camel. She also insisted that the hotel make the swimming pool available to her for washing the animal. Only after 20 minutes did the flustered hotel officials learn that the incident had served as the opening for the Festival of Humor which opened on Sunday. -- Canadian Jewish News, October 19, 1989
