Reported on KOME radio's "Blues News" in the Bay Area: 10/11/88 Baltimore police were able to easily apprehend some drug dealers who made the unfortunate mistake of handing out COUPONS for dope on streetcorners. The small tickets read just like a supermarket ad: "Buy 5 of anything and get one FREE!" "Guaranteed lowest prices in the neighborhood!" "10% off on any marijuana purchase: this weekend only!" The idiots were even smart enough to print their names AND ADDRESS on the back of the coupons. What makes it even funnier, according to one of the arresting officers, is that while they were busting the place, 3 people came by the back door to redeem the coupons, even though, in the cop's words, "Any neighborhood kid on that block could have told you there was an unmarked police car parked in front!" -- Steven Swinkels
