The latest Easter joke reminded me of my late cousin's interpretation of Easter. When he was little, his family told him about Easter. They told him how Jesus was brought before Pilate, how he was whipped and forced to carry his cross. They talked about him being crucified and how one of the thieves crucified with him chose to believe in him. They told him how after Jesus died he was buried and rose from the dead.
After the story, they asked him why the Romans would do such a thing to Jesus. He thought very hard and finally answered: "They must have been drunk."
