While having lunch today, I commented to a newlywed that in Korea, the wife does not change her last name to match that of her husband. We were also ribbing him about his wife's request to hyphenate his last name along with her's.
Again, I explained that in Korea, women don't change their surnames.
To which another coworker spouted "You know, when I got married my wife changed my middle name! She would answer people by saying 'Yes... this is Mrs. Barry fuckin' Smith'."
